Are you looking for a rare and exciting way to crush the Slav Defence? A line which has
little theory yet packs a big punch? Well, look no further as I have the answer for you! Enter the Boor Attack! – a surprising way to attack your opponent from move 5 in the Slav.
My 5-hour course will teach you everything you need to know after my suggested move order 1 d4 d5 2 c4 c6 3 cxd5! cxd5 4 Nc3 Nf6 (other moves are studied) 5 f3!?
This idea, developed by American FM Carl Boor, still contains great shock value and will surely put your opponent on the back foot from a very early stage. My new course was developed by a team of titled players and is presented by myself, GM Simon Williams. We look at the most common replies and the latest theory. Packed with new ideas and practical tips, this course is a must-study if you’re a 1.d4 player or a Slav player.
On a personal note, you may recognise this opening from one of my games... I played the lines in this course during the Reykjavik Open 2023, which was later hailed as one of the games of the year. You can watch my free analysis of that game here. Proof that GingerGM authors practice what they preach!
